What You’ll Learn:

Description: Unlock your potential and stand out in college admissions by finding your true passion and starting your own passion project. Contrary to the myth of the "well-rounded" student, colleges seek individuals who are deeply passionate about something. They want students who pursue their interests with initiative, showcasing projects that demonstrate depth, progression, and commitment.

Explore Your Interests: If you’re still figuring out your path, this workshop is perfect for you. 7th to 9th grade is the ideal time to explore your options and see how you can make a meaningful impact in your community.

Clarify College Admissions: Understand what colleges are truly looking for—students who have discovered something that matters to them and pursued it with enthusiasm.

Create a Showstopper Project Plan to Showcase your passion and abilities: Develop a project that makes college admissions officers take notice, highlighting your dedication and creativity.

Workshop Outcome: By the end of this workshop, each student will have written an actionable, practical, and realistic plan that they can implement throughout their high school years. They will have a clear understanding of the results they aim to achieve and the additional resources and knowledge needed to execute their plan successfully.

Why It Matters: A passion project is more than just an activity; it's a testament to your commitment and creativity. It shows colleges that you care deeply about something and have the initiative to turn your interests into reality. This workshop will guide you in taking the first steps towards creating a standout project and making a lasting impact on your college applications.
